PARABLE:

This morning, looked out window at billowing gray clouds blanketing sky, & grumbled-- as a friend often does with a friend-- "LORD, this is the 3rd morning on the beach without a sunrise." And then it seems I heard a laugh-- as a friend often responds to a friend-- "The sun DID rise. You just couldn't see it " ...

SO WHAT ??

3 years ago on Wrightsville Beach, NC, the Holy Spirit inspired song ALWAYS THE SUN... with this simple logic:
(1) The sun rises EVEN when we don't see it. And
(2) God is with us who truly love Him EVEN when we don't "see" Him.
As the chorus concluded, repeatedly:
ALWAYS THE SON is here.

PARABLE:

Listening to ocean waves pound the sand 2 days & a night, motel balcony door left open to hear the Music of God's Waves constantly drumming. Ready & set for our 2nd honeymoon (well, probably a bigger number than that!) -- eagerly waiting for my "bridegroom" to arrive at some unknown but soon day & hour, after he finishes helping his mom 2 states away.
Hmmm... sounds like a parable about 10 gals:} ....

SO WHAT ??

Oceans with no voice still speak of God's Glory (Psalm 8, 19)...

constant and powerful
whether you and I remember them or not.....
Whether you and I remember their Creator or not.

Hmmm... sounds like another parable Psalm 8:4
    PROPHECY of CHRISTmas:
       "What is man that You are mindful of him,
          And the son of man that You VISIT him?"
     (Hebrew word = paqad. The most frequent definitions = SEEK, VISIT.)

What does LORD God say ?? Isaiah 96 NKJV

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince [SON of King] of Peace.

Unpleasant new experience this AM: Found raccoon scat on deck among birdseed hulls under hanging feeder. Seen in "Dances With Wolves" movie: Animals "mark" their territory to claim ownership.

As I swept the disgusting mess,
God led me to think of something far more nauseating: Genesis 4:15,
God MARKED Cain as His, to protect.
Ezekiel 9, those who hate Abominations are marked & saved from God's Right-eous destruction...

SO WHAT ??

The Mark of the Beast will be more than a new
Identity-Theft Protection credit card under the skin (etc):
By allowing it, people will Allow a Claim of Ownership, the Mark of ownership that will DELIGHT Satan. No wonder God who yearns to call each of us "His people" will reject those who reject His command to refuse the Mark. Revelation 13:17 on.

PARABLE:

Quirky things keep happening that I ask, "a parable here?"
This week: Stores near my house didn't have brand salad dressing needed for a recipe, so while on travel, I stopped in a Walmart. A young man & I had just gotten out of our cars when a fire truck roared in. It stopped by food center door.

I joked to this stranger, "Ya suppose we should be worried?" We watched few more minutes. "Well, it IS by the food prep ovens," we joked. He said "Well, I was going to the other side anyway." We laughed & both went in. But........

SO WHAT ??

Have you seen this attitude?> "I'm saved, my children are saved"
.......... & many Christians shrug--
not weeping as Jesus did over those who refuse
to leave their burning lives (Matt 23 end).

RIGHT AFTER Jesus has spoken warning words of destruction that WILL come:
37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and
stones those who are sent to her!

PARABLE:

Awoke this AM to 2 blasts from smoke detector & blaring electronic voice "Fire! Fire"... and then silence. No problems detected.. It's 4 months old.. Can't find a detector that really works. (Suggestions welcome!) With heart pounding for 1/2 hr, decided 'gotta get some parable outta this'... sorta a 'Romans 8:28' resolution for the moment's terror. Here 'tis: We pretty much ignore smoke alarms blasts now because of so many false alarms for 10 years. 2 Peter 3:4 EASY PATTERN 234 > "...scoffers will come in the last days... saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming?... all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” THOUGH: These days they scoff too much to admit to "Creation."

SO WHAT ??

First Peter 5:8 - God clearly repeats through Jesus's beloved disciple
what Jesus already said in John 10:10 and John 8:44 ... that
Satan HATES you.
WANTS you to get careless,
   to think there is plenty of time...
Satan puts into your mind the thought
each time you wonder if you should be following Christ more closely,
       "There's plenty of time.... you deserve a break.... God wants you to rest......."
            Ignore the lies you think... TIME IS RACING! Jesus said so --
John 4:35
"Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!

PARABLE:

It starts with an awareness that something's horribly wrong.
Grows into fear-- you can't figure out what's happening that's like
slamming ocean waves about to drown you.
Then it becomes a TERROR that you're trapped, & NOTHING you do will make this terror stop....

That's the common reaction many people have to general anesthesia. You awake shaking for an hour+, fearful of slipping back into sleep. My Dad who dearly loved LORD God, had absolutely no fear of death knowing that he'd go to be with Jesus, dreaded each surgery only because of this HELL EXPERIENCE. And it lasts only a few hours. The real thing NEVER stops.

SO WHAT ??

........... Don't expect a follow-up 2014 movie HELL IS FOR REAL.
But Hell IS. Jesus said so. LOGIC says so:
God is Just. There's no justice without hell for those enjoying this life while destroying others emotionally if not physically.
God does not lie (CLICK FOR LINKS: Titus 1:2, Numbers 23:19, Hebrews 6:18.
ALL through the Bible, starting in Genesis 2,
God has lovingly warned of how we can avoid death.

.......... YET GOD..... Yet God loves each person so much that from the beginning that
He begs, "CHOOSE LIFE"! - Deuteronomy 30:19.
Verse 20 includes the How: "...love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life..."
Jesus said He, God (Isaiah 9:6) did NOT change his mind: Matthew 5:17-19.

Just a short while of HELL on earth, of whatever kind, should
RAISE OUR **FERVENCY** to join our LORD in PRAYING
FOR people to not experience hell...
in begging people for their sakes to choose Life Eternal that Jesus only provides...
logical because Jesus only is God (Isaiah 9:6 as well as John 10:30).
How unbelievable that many Christians are scared to URGENTLY obey Jesus's COMMAND at the end of Matthew-
GO AND TELL OF HELL.
.... Hell: The TERROR you're trapped in,
& NOTHING you do will make this terror stop....

A TRUE STORY... may it teach as a parable:

Know how old memories suddenly surface at odd times?
A number of years ago, someone started excitedly thanking God during the worship service's Prayer & Praise time-- he'd lost 10 pounds!

After the service was a fellowship dinner. I overheard a leader of the church laughingly whisper to some people toward the end, "He's going to gain it all back if he keeps eating like that!".... I happened to know that, with physical metabolic issues, he ate almost all of his daily calories at lunch to give his body time to burn them off before bedtime...

This was so many years ago-- Yet that ugliness right after the beauty of Worship got trapped in one of my brain wrinkles.

SO WHAT ??
My Facebook friend Morgan Trotter suggested that we might want to read
'Loving God When You Don't Love the Church:
Opening the Door to Healing' by Chris Jackson.
IS IT NOT HORRIFICALLY SAD that so many books like this are being written....
in the Truth of Ephesians 4:15 and First John 3:18?
If our words so horribly wound people within
our own church,
HOW can we draw people to see
the need for Jesus as Savior, to escape Hell forever?

What does LORD God say ??

....... We can say and sing all the words of love that we want in church service...
but God calls to us, DEMANDS of us, "love one another fervently with a pure heart."
First Peter 1:22.
