PARABLE:
At 1 A.M. a quiet Message Alert tone awoke me from family room chair where I'd drifted off ~11 PM. Message:
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM FOR YOUR AREA! WATCH!
When I told my husband, still awake ;) in *his* chair, he smoothly commented, "We've been having lots of lightning for an hour."
So much for sufficient ADVANCE warning to take cover if needed.
This A.M. I find myself wondering if we who absolutely believe
God's Word will one day be scolded because we
disobeyed His Word thru Ezekiel 33>>
"GO WARN people of God's TRUTH!"
(Same place, we find peace:
God says we DON'T have to convince them!).
Just Speak Truth. Even when unpopular. Love WARNS.
Not to be mean or prideful but in LOVE. Ephesians 4: 14-15.
What does LORD God say ??
SO WHAT ??
It's easy to think we have PLENTY OF TIME....
But even in our own life we never know when we'll get sick or in an accident, or die...
And definitely, as Jesus said in Matthew 24 (and Luke 13):
We must STOP Wasting time.... lest the Warning come Too Late to help.
Prayer:
LORD God-Named-YHWH (Ex. 3:14), I thank you for the ENCOURAGEMENT
in Ezekiel 33... that you call me to warn others out of love for them
BUT DO NOT REQUIRE THAT I CONVINCE THEM... Help me to STOP stalling
out of fear of failure! Help me to KEEP speaking Your Truth till the Moment I die!
