PARABLE:
What do you think when you see a beggar or-- Be Honest-- someone 100 pounds overweight?
IMPT: We "see" people only in THIS moment in their life... the homeless, the poor, the Depressed 1 seeking comfort in food, cigs, drugs, GOSSIP, etc .
We have NO idea how many months, years a person might have STRUGGLED to BEAT "it" until finally reaching a point of "I Give Up".
Do we think - or dare SAY to them,
"Oh, buck up & try again, God will help you!"..??...
without having ever "been there"?
Or PROUD that WE "beat it"..?..
Thanking God -- He knows each person's Heart & speaks GENTLY to many > like Jesus to the woman at the well: She'd been "discarded" by 5 men>
YET 2,000 years later,
most John 4 Bible teachers & readers STILL give her full blame.
What does LORD God say ??
James 2:
1 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. 2 For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, 3 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” 4 have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
Prayer:
LORD it is SO amazing that You, the LORD of All, FORGIVE ME...
Please help me remember what Jesus taught thru His LORD'S Prayer:
YOU God are paying attention to how we treat other people... including not forgiving them,
or being pride-filled.
