PARABLE:
How would you feel if you'd given someone a great gift that gave delight-- but later for some reason had to take it back. Wouldn't you be unhappy if the person was FURIOUS at you, instead of thanking you for that past time of Pleasure?
A SERMON NEVER HEARD about Jonah:
Sure, point of last in this short Book of God =
Jonah is SELFISH: He cares MORE about personal comfort
& not at all for a "city full of people" who would die if they rejected God's Gift Warnings thru Jonah.
BUT WHY didn't Jonah focus on the JOY OF THE TREE gift that God gave for awhile?....
Why did Jonah get MAD AT GOD after that time of DEEP SHADE on a hot day?
SO WHAT ??
Do WE get mad at God when He stops giving a Past Blessing?.... He surely doesn't deserve anything but Thanks for those times.... including about Health, I've been reminding myself. . Good devotional emphasizes: Gifts from God Are BLESSINGS but NOT OWED to us.... . Photo credit:
What does LORD God say ??
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by
prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to
God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

LORD God who is named YHWH (You said in Isaiah 42:8 Hebrew),
PLEASE FORGIVE ME when I am ungrateful.
PLEASE FORGIVE ME when I m selfish and get angry after the
Time of Your gift ends. Help me to enjoy what you give and THANK You always.
EVEN IF You in Your wisdom later decide to take back that gift
for Your own (always good) reason.
